Mini bio of the artist

Being raised in a small agricultural village during the 60s and 70s, Miltos has witnessed first hand the transformation of the society, from limited access to information to the constant nudging of notifications on smartphones.
He always tries to give his works the serenity of the old ages that many of us are looking for.

He constantly experiments with many types of materials, yet a lot of his work is done on wood. Wood is surely no easy material to process, but wood brings with him the sign of the times and is capable of telling a story by itself. In addition to this, the different wave patterns bring out the soul of mother nature on every piece.

Miltos has also spent many years studying music and writing poetry. Thus, every piece is interdisciplinary, meaning that behind it, one might find a poem written about it or it may be accompanied by its own song. Miltos' inspiration across all the forms of art and his constant experimenting with new ones, make the artwork a constant work on progress, a living piece of art that is being evolved in the mind of the artist.

Apart from this, Miltos has an utter passion for the environment as well, keeping the protection of it and environmental sustainability in all of his artworks. He uses recycled wood, that he gathers from waste landfills and fallen branches or trees.

While his workshop follows a hundred percent sustainable model, as it can be seen by the fact that he tries to use as little electricity as possible, passionately taking his time to hand sculpture every piece of art, in order to give it not only a truly personal touch but also ensure that the artwork will continue living in the clean environment that the artist knows.
